5.5 Days in England (Part 2)

Day 2 in London was one of my favorites. As planned we went to Westminster Abbey first. This place of worship is impressive. Its Gothic architecture alone is awe inspiring. Add to that the names of kings, queens, and famous figures buried or memorialized there like Edward the Confessor, Elizabeth I, Mary Queen of Scots, Sir Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Charles Dickens, Rudyard Kipling, and Sir Lawrence Olivier to name a few, it is one unbelievably amazing historical edifice.
This day, we got to visit all (okay, except one) places in our itinerary. From Westminster Abbey, we walked to Westminster Pier for a River Thames Cruise. We alighted at Tower Pier for the Tower of London Tour. After which, we got on board another City Cruises boat to Greenwich where the Prime Meridian of the world is.
Taking the last boat from Greenwich Pier, we headed back to Tower Pier for a taste of fish and chips at the Tower Hill Diner.

We accomplished 99% of our itinerary. Not bad. Not bad at all.
